# Can I use Salary.lu for private household?

**No, Salary.lu does not support payroll management for private household employers.**

If you are a private individual looking to hire someone - such as a cleaner, nanny, or caregiver - you will need to register and manage this employment directly through the Luxembourg government's official portal on MyGuichet.

## What should I do instead?

To employ someone in your private household, please follow these steps:

1. Go to MyGuichet.lu.
2. Log in using your LuxTrust certificate or electronic ID (eID).
3. Submit a declaration to register as a non-professional employer with the Centre Commun de la Sécurité Sociale (CCSS).
4. You will then be guided through the process of declaring and managing your household employee, including social security and tax declarations.
