# How do I create the RTS statement on Salary.lu?

| For the RTS statement to be accurate, you must first generate the corresponding payslips for the relevant quarter.

* Log in to your Salary.lu account.
* Go to the "Documents" section in the sidebar.
* Click the "Add" button on the "Documents" page.
* Select the document "RTS statement".
* Select the relevant period (month, quarter, year). 
* Click the "Create" button to create your document.

|| Please note that you can download the XML file format by clicking on the three dots button. This file does not need to be opened, but can be used to make the declaration via MyGuichet, using your Luxtrust token for authentication.

|| Important: Starting in 2025, MyGuichet only accepts the XML format for RTS statements. After you complete your declaration on MyGuichet, you can download a PDF receipt. This PDF serves as proof of your submission and shows the amounts you need to pay to the tax administration.
