How do I update an incorrect illness or sick leave declaration?


If you entered an illness leave with the wrong dates or hours, you can correct it directly in Salary.lu by deleting or refusing the incorrect entry and adding the corrected one.


Correcting an illness leave


  1. Log in to your Salary.lu account
  2. Go to the "Leaves" section
  3. Find the incorrect illness leave in the list
  4. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the entry
  5. Select "Delete" if the leave has not yet been submitted to the CCSS, or "Refuse" if it has already been submitted
  6. Click "Add" and re-enter the illness leave with the correct dates and hours


"Delete" is only available for leaves that have not yet been submitted to the CCSS. Once a leave has been submitted, only "Refuse" is shown, with no "Delete" option. Refusing keeps the record and sends a correction instead of removing it.


When re-entering the leave, make sure the dates and hours match exactly those on the medical certificate.


If your company uses SECUline, refusing a submitted leave and re-entering it automatically sends an updated Work Incapacity Declaration (DECMAL) to the CCSS the next business day, no further action is needed.
